Rural Kent is safer than you think to live and work. If rural communities feel there is a local safety problem then contacting the local Community Safety Officer is a good way of working towards a local solution.

Between 1998 and 2001, with the help of a grant from the Community Fund (now The Big Lottery Fund), we helped rural communities to form Community Safety Action Groups. Working with local Community Safety Partnerships and Local Responsible Authorities for Crime and Disorder communities can act together to reduce rural crime and the fear of crime.
