Latest Covid guidance for village and community halls

Face coverings mandatory in village and community halls from Friday 10 December

See www.gov.uk/government/publications/face-coverings-when-to-wear-one-and-how-to-make-your-own/face-coverings-when-to-wear-one-and-how-to-make-your-own

Some activities are exempt

Anyone engaged in activities which would normally take place in an exempt setting (eating, drinking, exercising, or dancing) does not need to wear a face covering, but must wear one at all other times e.g. when entering the hall; using the kitchen/toilets; at an event where refreshments are served but they’re not eating/drinking.

Working at home

From 13 December, if you have anyone using your hall as an office, eg the Parish Council, they should be working at home if possible.

NHS COVID Pass

From 15th December for some venues and events. Not likely to apply to village halls but see link for where it does apply:    www.gov.uk/guidance/covid-19-coronavirus-restrictions-what-you-can-and-cannot-do#required-use-of-the-nhs-covid-pass
